International Women day (IWD)
It left me in a total turmoil when i came 2 know that students of Punjab Agricutural University are going to organise International Womens day .
shocking!!!!!!!!!wo log jo khud chedte hai.do they know whats the meaning of IWD
par apne liye to sirf ek hi matlab tha ki after 2:00 pm no classes wa kya baat hai.Escape from Machine Design class tutorial gr8 man.Gr8 news.sddenly i was thinkinh y they dont organise this type of events evryweek.
shockin i said coz it was being organised by the same man who just was underground running away from police and was ab8 to visit jail due 2 his offence.
any how he being the president or a better word a boss of student union, organised a function in regard of international women day as to offer resect to the whole women society.For that reason they awarded each and every girl of university who had excelled in previous yrs in any trade let it be academics ,sports ,literature,singing or any field.
Mr. Gurcharansingh a popular person in punjabi theatre was there .the Impact in his voice really one 15 minute speech which left me spell bound.
one thing which he told was " when ever we abuse some bdy why its always ki we need 2 abuse his sis or mom why not bro and dad and the guy himself"
good point ,as there shud be 1 day to respect women.
ok fine good fucntion enjoy for students as no class in second half ....a organised place where one can see all great gals of our univeristy at the same moment.
but the point i have problem with why these types of dual character have 2 be shown ...
the organisers themselves are the ones who in the evening will roam and will try and tease all the gals.
just one reason for this is they want to show to everybody that they are working for the welfare of students .but who will tell this to authority the real picture.peoplelike us also dont want their degrees in danger so what they can do is express there thots at this page.
This day was started in 1908 some where in states for the upliftment of women so that they can walk shoulder 2 shoulder in this man oriented society.But i wud like to bring on thing to notice that did that mean ,we need 2 show the respect one has for women on a particular day by organising events .
this is country of Kisans (the farmers) and i suppose in univeristy no bdy knew the meaning of IWD till last yr and now to earn some prestige they have made this whole scene .Total disgust
P.S. these r my thots not for the event organised in my university but for the whole nonsence &.improper utilisation of resources going around.It was not 2 hurt some bodies feeling,
